Nicola Richards here, the new Account Manager at Conversis. In fact it?s not just a new role for me but for Conversis too. Conversis is a growing company.
So the future?s bright and the company?s going places. That brings me to why I?m here. I have been working in the translation industry for rather longer than I care to mention, both in operations and business development. After so many years I was becoming increasingly disillusioned with the industry as it seemed to have stagnated, or maybe we both had. That all changed when I met the lovely folk at Conversis late last year.
But why Conversis? Well, as I?ve mentioned, the company is going places so it?s an exciting time to join. Conversis also has a refreshingly different approach. Translation is a creative business and Conversis has a creative approach to a creative business and doesn?t take itself too seriously. This does not mean that Conversis doesn?t take quality seriously. In fact, quite the opposite because Conversis is known for top quality translations. The difference is that they are produced using innovative solutions, but we make sure we tick all the necessary boxes along the way.
Conversis handles a lot of healthcare translations for some very prestigious clients. I have specialised in healthcare translations for most of my working life and it?s my aim to apply this expertise to consolidate the healthcare side of the business. Of course, I am also raring to get stuck into the other sectors that Conversis works with and put my skills to good use there too!
As you have probably gathered by now, I am very excited about my new role. As Account Manager I am working with everyone in the Conversis team and all our wonderful clients to get the best for everyone. So I have the opportunity to make a difference.
My first mission this year is to meet with all our clients and it?s been fun putting faces to names so far. I will be working closely with our clients as their first point of contact so I hope to get to know them as soon as possible to ensure that everyone continues to be happy with the work Conversis is doing for them.
As 2012 unfolds I look forward to becoming an integral part of an exciting company and fabulously talented team.
